Podargus strigoides  

I had been out to Samsonvale where Tawny Frogmouths were known to nest each year but disappointingly had not found any sign of them. Two days later we discovered a pair of adults with two chicks roosting in a tree in our yard only a few feet from our back door. Sometimes nature just comes-a-calling.
